Finals advice from a Junior: Don’t cram, take breaks

TIP 1: Spread your studying over several days.

Finals can be a stressful time for everyone, especially if it’s your first time. We all should know how to handle our stress during these times. One of the biggest tips that I have learned to manage my test stress is to not cram the night before but  study a little bit every night so that the knowledge builds up over time and it’s not that overloading. For finals you have to study even more so this step will really help your stress load.

TIP 2: Take breaks that are helpful.

If you do want to have a big study session, one great tip is not studying for one subject all at once. If you don’t want to take relaxing breaks, you can take breaks from a subject and switch to another. This helps your brain not get completely bored and unfocused.

TIP 3: They’re not as bad as you think.

One final tip is remember that finals are not as stressful as you make them out to be in your head. Make sure that you take mental health breaks if you need to, and I know that each and everyone of you who is reading this will do great on your finals.
