The Chicago Bears have had a historic season with a record of 11-6 and leading the NFC North. The Bears season started with three losses and everyone thought it was going to be another losing season. But head coach Ben Johnson knew the Bear’s potential which led to many comeback wins in the last 2 minutes of the game.

The Bears lost in the NFC divisional round to the Los Angeles Rams in overtime with a score of 20 to17. The Bears have not been in the NFC divisional round since 2011 so this thrilling season has raised a lot of excitement from fans.

The Bears are known for having losing seasons with losing records and everyone thought it was going to be the same story.

Lauren Steele is a Bears season ticket holder and said, “Just another regular Bear’s season there is no hope for a good season.”

The Chicago Bears this season have won seven games in the fourth quarter. Theodore Kreuser is a lifelong Bears fan who said “I thought the game was lost, every game I think the game is lost and Caleb Williams pulls another comeback.”

Once the Bears started to win and beat good teams the whole city became excited. Kreuser said, “The whole city started to believe it and rally behind the whole team.” Season ticket holders used to complain that their tickets were not valuable in past seasons, but this season everyone wanted to get their hands on tickets.

The Bears beat their rivals the Wisconsin Green Bay Packers in the first round of playoffs in a thrilling comeback. Steele was at the Packers game and said the atmosphere was amazing. All the fans came together and waved their towels. “It was the best game I have ever been to, you could tell Chicago was together.”

The future of the Bears has never been brighter. Kreuser thinks “I am confident that the Bears can pull something off next season and go farther in the playoffs.” He also thinks that the draft this year will be very beneficial to strengthen the team even more.

Steele also said, “I have so much more hope for next year and it was a happy and sad ending.”

The Bears may have not taken home the trophy this year, but they took home a victory for the city of Chicago. Fans cannot wait for what is in store for the next few years.
